The two passages I choose to analysis is : Blast Kills Four Children; Riots Follow
Two Youths Slain; State Reinforces Birmingham Police and Five Fires Reported. The differences between these two passages is that in the first passage I chose four children were killed for no reason, while in the second one one child was killed for not halting when the police caught him stoning cars. However, stoning cars did NOT deserve the death penalty. Has there been a significant change when it comes to equality in America in the last 50
years? Well I think there has been a huge change in society today with racial discrimination/ equality. With that being said, there may still be people out there who doesn't believe in equality and just kills innocent people. Usually when they kill that innocent person they make it look like a accident, with no charges being pressed against them.  Some current events that came to mind reading this passage is the “Trayvon Martin” case. In the “Trayvon Martin” case Trayvon was shot and killed by an white/hispanic man because he was thought to be armed.  and also the  Kenneth Chamberlain case, the police shot him using racial slurs before entering his apartment from a false alarm sent by his medical bracelet. Chamberlain was mentally disturbed, and he still got shot because he felt threatened and had a knife.
