Do you support the Glendale Unified School District’s move to monitor its students’ online activities?
Why? Why not?
• What are other things your school district could do to prevent student bullying or to prevent students from
harming themselves? Explain.
In my opinion I support the Glendale Unified School District’s move to monitor their students. I think to a certain extent as mentioned in the article about stuff that HAS to do with the school. Other then that I do feel like it would be an invade to privacy if they were just in the students business for nothing. Some other things they could do to prevent bullying would be create focus friday groups like we have here at Gaston Early College. I feel like thats a great way to get stuff across to other people if you have a concern or you are getting or seeing someone getting bullied. Or they could have a counseling session with every student throughout the year to talk to the counselor about their problems or if they are worried about someone around them having problems.Team Building activities could also help ! This way students and their peers could learn to communicate better and to resolve their problems by talking. Violence is nerve the key.
